The search function in Imageshop is based on metadata fields and is designed to help you quickly locate relevant content. This article explains how the search works and how administrators can configure which metadata fields are included.
What is included in the search?
Imageshop searches the following:
Metadata fields stored in Imageshop (such as title, description, keywords, credits, etc.)
The original filename (the name the file had when it was uploaded)
Note: The search does not include metadata embedded in the file itself (e.g. IPTC/XMP), unless this data has been imported into Imageshop’s metadata fields.
Configuring searchable fields
As an administrator, you can define which metadata fields should be included in the search. This gives you better control over the relevance of search results.
You can:
Disable search in specific fields if you don’t want them to affect search results.
Enable search in selected fields to make them searchable.
This configuration is global and affects both the admin interface and the user interface.
How to configure search fields
Go to Admin.
Click on your name in the right corner and then Configuration.
Click on Search.
Check the fields you want to include in search.
Save your changes.
Please note:
It may take up to one day before the changes are fully implemented in the search index.
